If you order a pizza from Domino’s on March 6, don’t be alarmed if it’s already paid for.
The pizza chain, the National Fire Protection Association, and local fire departments are working together to promote fire safety by awarding free pizza to customers in cities throughout Northern Santa Barbara County who currently have working smoke detectors. Customers ordering between 5 and 9 p.m. that evening might have their orders accompanied by a fire engine.
Daylight Savings Time is the perfect time to check the batteries on your smoke detector, according to Tim Jensen, general manager of an Orcutt Domino’s.
Batteries and smoke detectors will also be provided as needed to customers at no cost.
