The California Space Authority is looking for businesses and individuals to become members of the California Space Center’s ā€œLaunch Teamā€ by contributing to the project by Dec. 31.

A minimum donation of $10,000 for organizations, or $1,000 for individuals, will qualify the donor’s name for inclusion in a permanent exhibit celebrating the center’s supporters.

Construction of the space center will begin in 2010 near Vandenberg Air Force Base. Once completed, it will house a visitors’ center, education facilities for youth and adults, a conference center, and mission support facilities.
