Want to catch up on college credits this summer? Allan Hancock College’s summer schedule is now available online at hancockcollege.edu. Beginning April 17, printed schedules will be available at all of the college’s campuses, as well as some community locations. Online registration for summer courses begins April 27, and classes begin June 15.

According to a press release from the college, less funding from the state has reduced summer course offerings by nearly 25 percent. College officials are recommending students register as early as possible for best course selection.

Also due to budget cuts, the college will discontinue sending a schedule to homes. Schedules must be picked up at college campuses and select community locations while supplies last.

“The state budget crisis has reduced our funding while at the same time increasing the need for community members to seek out education and training at Allan Hancock College,” Rebecca Alarcio, the college’s director of public affairs and publications, said in the release. “We are working hard to balance our students’ needs with the reality that state funding will not stretch far enough to offer all the classes we want to offer.”

Schedules are available at 64 different locations in Guadalupe, Arroyo Grande, Nipomo, Santa Maria, Orcutt, Lompoc, and the Santa Ynez Valley, including all libraries, chambers of commerce, and other community locations.
