Central Coast locals interested in pursuing a career in the agriculture industry will get the chance to attend a free seminar featuring presentations by several federal agencies on Aug. 30 at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo.
Agencies at the event will include the U.S. Department of Commerce, two divisions of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and more. U.S. Rep. Lois Capps (D-Santa Barbara) will also make an appearance.
“It is such a privilege to offer this industry-specific event while providing resources and opportunities in the area of export assistance, working capital, export credit insurance, direct loans, and access to USDA patents,” Israel Dominguez, director of the college’s Business and Entrepreneurship Center, said in a release to the media.
The ag seminar will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. with a reception from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Cuesta College Associated Students Auditorium, Room 5401. The college is located off U.S. Highway 1 in SLO.
