There’s nothing quite like a brand-new car, especially when that car helps students at local schools. Sponsored by local car dealerships, St. Joseph High School’s annual Support Our Schools car raffle gives Santa Marians the chance to win one of four brand new cars or $15,000.Tickets are available for a $20 donation by calling St. Joseph High School at 937-2038, Ext. 163. The last day to buy tickets is Nov. 30, and the drawing will be held on Dec. 5. All proceeds will benefit St. Joe’s students.
For the past six years, Toyota and Scion of Santa Maria, Honda of Santa Maria, Home Motors Chevrolet, and Community Volkswagen and BMW have helped St. Joe’s raise money through the raffle. Last year the school raised more than $40,000. The cars up for grabs are a 2012 Chevy Cruze 1LT, a 2012 Toyota Prius (C Package), a 2013 Volkswagen Passat S, and a 2012 Honda Civic LX, or there’s always the $15, 000.
