Barbra Minar’s one-woman show “Connecting and Changing” will be on display at the C Gallery in Los Alamos.

The 33-piece collection of reflective collage and assemblage is accompanied by original poems responding to each piece of visual art.

A poetry reading will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 23 at the gallery called, “Connecting and Changing … The Words.” Minar will be discussing why and how the writing is connected to the work. The collages are not illustrations of the poetry; nor are the poems narrations of the art. Rather, there is a dialogue between the two art forms that offers the viewer an opportunity to access the work more deeply.

Barbra is a published writer and Foothills Publishing in New York has put out her latest book of poems, “Disking Deep.” Autographed copies will be available for purchase at the poetry reading.

There is no admission fee for the poetry reading. For more info call the C Gallery, 344-3807. View “Connecting and Changing,” the art show online at thecgallery.com.
