Big Picture Athletics, an organization providing athletic programs and amateur exposure events for youth on the Central Coast, will be holding an eight-week competitive seven-on-seven winter passing league.
The league will be open to seventh and eighth grade combo teams from Ventura County to Northern Santa Barbara County.
Coaches will organize their own team of skill position players and enter their teams to compete. The focus of the league will be on player development, competition, and improved knowledge of the game. A maximum of 12 teams will be admitted with 12 to 14 players per team.
Games are 40 minutes long and will be played at Santa Ynez High School from Jan. 22, 2012, to March 18. Uniforms will be provided.
