It’s not too late for local photographers to enter the 22nd annual Winning Images photography competition. Winners will be published in the New Times and Sun’s Winning Images issues on Oct. 19. The photos will also be featured in an exhibit at the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art (SLOMA), which opens Oct 18. Deadline for entries is Sept. 25 by 5 p.m.

Categories include people, architecture, flora, land/seascape, animals (previous winner pictured), travel, and open. Prints must be between 5-by-7 inches or 11-by-14 inches and must be mounted on an 11-by-14 inch black or white board without a mat. Submissions must include a $5 entry fee (entry money goes toward prizes). Photos can be dropped off to the Sun office at 2540 Skyway Drive, Santa Maria.
