The deadline to enter the Wildling Museum’s second annual Earth Day poetry competition, Climate Change: Our Impact, is Monday, March 21, at 5 p.m. Santa Barbara County residents of all ages are welcome to submit poems that “interpret the effects of climate change and our role in a variety of ways,” according the museum.

Submissions will be judged by two former Santa Barbara poets laureate, Sojourner Kincaid Rolle and Chryss Yost. Awards in the contest range from cash prizes to museum family memberships. The writers of the top three poems in both the adult and youth categories will be given the opportunity to read their work during the Community Environmental Council’s Santa Barbara Earth Day Celebration, held at the Arlington Theatre on Saturday, April 23.
