The class starts with a guided tour of the River’s Journey art exhibition now showing at the Wildling as well as a group conversation about the importance of water in daily life. After the gallery tour, participants will create an accordion-fold artists’ book and fill it with drawings, words, collaged images, and painted images inspired by the conversation about water in the Santa Ynez Valley.

Littlewood is a calligrapher and a scientific illustrator as well as a papermaker. Zwehl-Burke is an artist who taught drawing, 2-D design, printmaking, and more at Santa Barbara City College and the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.

The class runs from 10 a.m. to noon and is free. Materials will be supplied, and the class is limited to eight participants who register for the workshop online, by phone or email, or in person. For more information, visit wildlingmuseum.org or call (805) 688-1082.
