Nothing says true love like a handmade gift, but a handmade card on top of that? The Valley Art Gallery is holding a fundraiser with a sale of member-created Valentine’s cards available up until the holiday on Feb. 14.
Each card costs $5 and is truly unique, including painted, collage, printed, or embellished cards. Subjects include children, fairies, flowers, birds, and sweet sentiments.
“I am happy to see so many artists generously creating and giving away the loving cards,” said Community Events Director Michael Corob in a release from the gallery, “and equally thrilled to see so many people interested in them. This project is a simple example of the potential of our gallery to bring art to the community, and to bring the community to the gallery.”
Cards not purchased will be given to residents at Merrill Gardens, a local care facility. The Valley Art Gallery is located at 1108 E. Clark Ave., suite 170, Orcutt. More information is available at 937-2278 or valleygallery.org.
