The Valley Art Gallery in Orcutt features member artists regularly in the gallery, and the currently featured artist is Sylvia Simmons. The exhibit, titled Art Glass by Sylvia Simmons, showcases the artist’s love of glass as a medium for sculpted expression.
A reception with Simmons is Aug. 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the gallery. Her show includes glass kaleidoscopes, jewelry boxes, mosaics, fairies, candleholders, snowflakes, and ornaments. The exhibit shows through Sept. 12.
