The Women’s Fund of Northern Santa Barbara County has awarded a $25,000 grant to the Transitions-Mental Health Association (TMHA) to support the association’s new enterprise Growing Grounds Gallery and Gifts in Santa Maria. The grant is specifically intended for mental wellness, substance abuse programs, and job training.
The grant monies will allow Growing Grounds Gallery and Gifts to employ people who receive mental-health services in positions in retail store management and coordination, as well as sales. The support allows TMHA to continue providing members with opportunities and skill building to enter the workforce.
Growing Grounds Gallery and Gifts is at 225 E. Inger Drive, Suite 101B, Santa Maria, and is open Wednesday through Friday from 2 to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 5:30 p.m. More information is available at 623-5027 or t-mha.org.
