The Santa Maria Youth Football League and Cheer will be holding its first set of registrations on March 24 and 25 at the Westgate Community Room next to Liberty Elementary School.

All players between the ages of 8 and 14 must provide two copies of a birth certificate, a recent photo, and a recent report card. Address verification is also required. The $200 fee per child includes a jersey, equipment rental, a basic picture package, a trophy, and insurance. Payment plans will be accepted. Each player and cheerleader must sell five cash calendars at $20 each. Fees for cheerleaders between the ages of 5 and 14 are $180.

Scholarships will be also considered for two children who have or are currently experiencing a traumatic life event. Applications for this scholarship must be submitted in writing and turned in with the application.

All registrations will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Westgate Community Room at 1300 Marsala Ave. in Santa Maria.
