Tri-athletes of all ages are welcomed to participate in the 3rd annual Lompoc Sprint Triathlon and Junior Triathlon July 18 at Lompoc Aquatic Center.
Entrants ages 15 and up will compete in a 500-yard swim, 11-mile bike ride and 3.1-mile-run with first heats beginning at 8 a.m.
The junior version consists of a 50-yard swim, 1-mile bike ride and quarter-mile run for athletes ages 10 and under. Entrants ages 11 to 14 years old will participate in a 100-yard swim, 2-mile bike ride, and half-mile run. First heats for juniors begin at 11 a.m.
Regular entry fees are $40 for individuals and $75 for relays. Juniors are $20 for individuals and $40 for relays. All entries include a T-shirt.
The aquatic center is located at 207 W. College Avenue in Lompoc.
