Harmon and Strasburg are the two artists behind the museum’s current duo of window installations, The Nature of Clouds and Wintering: A Fox Tale, respectively. During the upcoming Zoom program, both artists will discuss their experiences creating the installations, as well as their own creative processes and tips for aspiring artists.

ā€œI plan to focus on how an artist uses materials to express and communicate a story,ā€ Harmon said in a press materials from the Wildling Museum. ā€œWe’ll look at what an installation entails—and how we got to this point.ā€

Among various behind-the-scenes tidbits, Harmon will share insight into how she built her three-dimensional clouds and planted live kokedama plants for installation. Strasburg will share similar insight into how she created her series of paper-cut fox silhouettes, which becomes illuminated at night for passersby outside the museum to enjoy.
