The Santa Barbara County Animal Care Foundation unleashes the Zombie Glow Run 2K Fun Run/Walk on Nov. 8 to raise money for Santa Barbara County Animal Services shelters.
The event starts at 6 p.m. at the Santa Maria Animal Center, where participants will be dressed up in zombie glow gear. The Glow Run is more about having fun with pets than having the fastest time. The contest includes best zombie costumes and best glow costumes for men, women, kids, and dogs. A dance contest will be held at the event’s after-party.
Pre-registration fees are $35, $25 for active military and teens 12 to 16 years old, and $10 for kids 5 to 11 years old. Check in is from 5 to 5:45 p.m. All participants will receive glow items, entry into the after party, a water bottle, and a door-prize ticket. For more information, go to sbcanimalcare.org.
