Santa Maria Civic Theatre continues its 2010-2011 season with the suspense thriller Wait Until Dark, written by Frederick Knott and directed by Johannes S. Beals. Regular dates are Nov. 19, 20, 26, and 27, and Dec. 3, 4, 10, and 11. All performances are at 8 p.m.

A cool-as-ice psychopath smooth-talks his way into the home of an unsuspecting woman, looking for a dangerous prize she doesn’t even know she has. This psychological thriller, from the author of Dial M for Murder, probes which frightens us more—the evil you can see coming, or the one you can’t?

Performances are at 1660 N. McClelland St. in Santa Maria. All tickets cost $14. For more information, call 922-4442 or visit smct.org.
