To kick off 2026, artists of the Cypress Gallery are putting together a tribute to winter’s cozy and serene delights. Simple Pleasures will be up from Jan. 2 to 25.
“As January brings some of the darkest and coldest days of the year, take a moment to find comfort in the simple pleasures that make life worth living and home feel like home,” the gallery announced in press materials.
Artists explore themes like gardens, flowers, birds, and animals. The gallery features local painters and artisans who display sculptures, jewelry, cards, and more.
“This show celebrates pleasures that are achievable and within reach and pays tribute to the steady champions we turn to when the world feels heavy,” according to the gallery.
The Simple Pleasures reception will be held at the gallery on Jan. 10 from noon to 2 p.m. Admission is free at the Cypress Gallery, located at 119 E. Cypress Ave. in Lompoc. It’s open Thursday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
