Experience the annual Tastes of Mexico on Friday, Sept. 9, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Veterans’ Memorial Community Center, 313 West Tunnell St., Santa Maria. Entertainment comes courtesy of the Righetti High School Marimba Band and Folklorico dancers, along with Los Caporales and Mariachi Imperial.
The event is sponsored by People for Leisure and Youth, Inc. (P.L.A.Y., Inc.) and the City of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department, with Mexican food and beverages provided by some of the best restaurants in the city.
Tickets cost $30 per person or four for $100 and include plenty of food and imported beer and margarita samples. Tickets are available at the City of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department at 615 S. McClelland St.
