Join Hans Christian Andersen on a magical journey as he confronts his shadow and characters from his fairytales. PCPA will present My Fairytale, with previews in Santa Maria at the Marian Theatre Aug. 12 through Aug. 20 and opening in Solvang at the Festival Theater on Aug. 27.
This musical by Stephen Schwartz, composer of Wicked, puts Hans in a fight for his life against the Emperor and on a quest to find the Nightingale. A series of detours, however, brings him face to face with himself and the resolve to fulfill his lifelong dream.
