The Vaquero Show and Western collectible sale, presented by Santa Ynez Valley Historical Museum (SYVHM), is set to take place Nov. 9 through 11.

The event, now in its 34th year, honors the lifestyle, culture, and horsemanship of the California vaquero. The vaquero lifestyle evolved into a specific style of apparel, tack, saddles, and other horse equipment, which will be featured at the show and sale.Ā

Twenty-five artisans, craftsmen and collectors from throughout the western United States will be on hand to display and sell their goods such as hand-tooled leather saddles, braided vaquero styled riatas, silver spurs, bridles, bits, and reins. The show will also feature art, jewelry, hats, books, and other collectibles. Live demonstrations of the Californio Vaquero tradition will be presented from experts including 2012 Vaquero of the Year Bruce Sandifer.Ā

All proceeds from the event benefit the nonprofit SYVHM. The event takes place at the museum, located at 3596 Sagunto St., Santa Ynez. For more information and a complete schedule of events, visit santaynezmuseum.org or call (805) 688-7889.
