Tri City Sound Chorus recently honored long-time member Dyana Cridelich of Orcutt with its Sweet Adeline of the Year Award. The honor is given each year to a member who’s provided outstanding service to the chorus and the community. Cridelich, an Allan Hancock College employee by day, has been a member of the Orcutt-based chapter of Sweet Adelines International for more than a decade, and has served on its leadership for many of those years. In 2011, she served as liaison to Sweet Adelines International Region 11 and as president of Tri City Sound’s leadership team.

Cridelich follows the most recent Sweet Adelines of the Year recipients: Jennifer Best (2010) and Connie Burns (2009), both Orcutt residents.

Tri City Sound is affiliated with Sweet Adelines International, a nonprofit that offers traditional tunes in four-part barbershop harmony. The chorus is open to all women interested in learning about barbershop-style music, singing, performing, and sisterhood. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings from 6:45 to 9 p.m. at Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 4725 S. Bradley Road in Orcutt.
