It’s poised to be a World Cup summer, and Catalyst Soccer and Cal Poly, SLO Mustang Soccer are combining their efforts to help inspire youth soccer players in Orcutt and Santa Maria.

Two week-long soccer camps will be held locally, directed by the coaches and players of the Cal Poly men’s and women’s soccer programs and run by Catalyst Soccer, one of the top youth soccer development programs in the nation.

Players aged 4 to 6 can attend the “Little Skillsbuilders” camp, running from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at a cost of $75. Players ages 6 to 14 can participate in the “Super FUNdamentals” camp, held from 9 a.m. to noon for $125.

The first camp session will be held at Orcutt’s Rice Ranch Fields from Aug. 2 to 6. The second session will take place at the Minami Center Fields in Santa Maria from Aug. 16 to 20.
