St. Mary of the Assumption School presents its 11th annual Mardi Gras Dinner, Dance, and Auction event on Feb. 2 at 6 p.m. at the Santa Maria Radisson on Skyway Drive.

The event is the school’s largest fundraiser all year. Acquired monies will go towards new and refurbished infrastructure, and keeping tuition affordable for the students at the private school.

ā€œPrevious Mardi Gras celebrations supported technology upgrades, new reading programs, establishing the school’s certified league basketball gym, various infrastructure projects in addition to operating expenses,ā€ principal Michelle Cox said in a statement. ā€œTuition covers less than 65% of the cost to educate a child. It is through the generosity and support of the entire Santa Maria Family that we can provide a safe and nurturing learning environment.ā€

Auction prize items this year will include vacations including a cruise, jewelry, electronics, home dƩcor, art, wine, and a wide range of helpful services.

Sponsorships are available ranging from $100 to $1,000. Regular admission tickets are $65. More info: 925-6713, principal@stmarysschoolsm.com, or stmarysschoolsm.com.
