A benefit concert for Arts Outreach is scheduled for Feb. 21 at St. Mark’s-in-the-Valley Episcopal Church in Los Olivos, featuring two highly acclaimed musicians: pianist Francesco Attesti, and organist Matteo Galli. The two will perform several duets on the church’s Steinway B grand piano and the 22-rank Schoenstein organ.
The concert will also include solo works for each musician, along with a number of duets by composers such as Carl Phillipp Emanuel Bach, Johann Christian Bach, Johannes Brahms, Gioachino Rossini, Maurice Ravel, and Richard Wagner. Galli will also perform an improvisational solo at the organ.
Arts Outreach works to expand arts education with outreach in Santa Ynez Valley, Los Alamos, and Lompoc schools with instruction and experiences in the visual, literary, performing, and musical arts. More information is available at artsoutreach.com.
