The Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes Center is still accepting applications for this summer’s Fun in the Sun (FITS) program through July 8. Program participants are currently learning about water pollution and have already performed some cool experiments with household products and collected water samples from our local streams and lakes. Participants will be taking field trips to various places around Guadalupe, as well as trips to the San Luis Obispo area.

The class meets at the Dunes Center in Guadalupe, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Enrollment in the program is on a first come, first served basis and depends on completion of the application process. Donations are welcome. For Santa Maria residents, transportation may be arranged. Call for details. For more information about the program, call 343-2455.
