Santa Ynez Valley resident Mary Ann Norbom was appointed the new executive director for the Solvang Theaterfest.
“We believe [Norbom] can lead Theaterfest in meeting its strategic goals, while expanding relationships in the community,” board co-chair Dr. Bob Baehner said in an email.
According to a press release from the organization, Norbom is an entertainment journalist whose work has appeared in magazines, newspapers, television, and websites. Norbom has served as the lifestyle editor at the Santa Ynez Valley News since 2014. She has also worked in fundraising and development at the Santa Ynez Valley Historical Museum as well as the auction committees for the biennial Santa Barbara Vintners Wine Auction benefiting Direct Relief.
Solvang Theaterfest is a nonprofit organization that owns and operates the Solvang Festival Theater, which serves as the summer home for the Pacific Conservatory Theatre (PCPA). Norbom succeeds Pam Pilcher as executive director. The Solvang Festival Theater is located at 420 2nd St., Solvang. More information is available at solvangfestivaltheater.org.
