In mid-February, Solvang Theaterfest welcomed some new leaders on its executive board.

Solvang Theaterfest Executive Director Chantel Green said in press materials that each individual is bringing ā€œinvaluable experience and enthusiasm to help guide our organization forward.ā€

The new additions to Solvang Theaterfest’s leadership team are Board Chair Don Conner, Vice Chair Brad Vidro, Treasurer Brooke Blunt, Secretary Harvey Green, Assistant Director Terri Simmons, and Logan Howard—a newly elected member of the nonprofit’s board of directors.

According to press materials, Howard is a partner attorney at Lawvex, and ā€œan expert in business, trusts and estates, and real estate law, and is passionate about supporting nonprofits in navigating complex legal landscapes.ā€

With a background in finance and ā€œa genuine passion for community development,ā€ Chair Conner brings ā€œstrategic insight and a heartfelt commitment to ensuring the Theaterfest’s continued success,ā€ according to press materials.

Vice Chair Vidro has a background in public service and ā€œdeep community ties,ā€ while Treasurer Blunt (pictured) is a certified public accountant with extensive experience in nonprofit accounting. Her ā€œcommitment to fiscal responsibility will ensure the Theaterfest’s financial health and sustainability.ā€

A former educator with a passion for community engagement, Secretary Harvey Green has ā€œa wealth of knowledge in communication and organizational efficiency,ā€ according to press materials.Ā 

Assistant Director Simmons’ ā€œexperience in theater and community service will play a key roleā€ in supporting the Theaterfest’s efforts.

ā€œWe are thrilled to welcome such a talented group of leaders to our executive board,ā€ Chantel Green said in press materials.

Among the upcoming events organized by Solvang Theaterfest this year, an anticipated concert on April 5 will bring Grammy Award-winning band Ozomatli to the Solvang Festival Theater’s outdoor stage.

Known for its energetic blend of Latin, hip-hop, jazz, and funk, Ozomatli is set to deliver ā€œa high-energy, unforgettable experience for all attendees,ā€ according to press materials.

ā€œTheir unique sound will undoubtedly energize our community,ā€ Chantel Green said in press materials. ā€œWe are excited to bring Ozomatli to our stage and continue our mission of presenting diverse, dynamic performances.ā€
