Solvang’s upcoming Julefest celebration will feature a cornucopia of holiday events, but a new attraction has the town Time magazine once added to its list of “Most Christmas-y Towns in America” abuzz.
“Solvang on Ice” will feature a real ice-skating rink at Solvang Park in the center of town. The skating rink will be open daily from Dec. 6 through 8 with the first session at 9 a.m. and the last session at 9 p.m. Skating sessions last 40 minutes and are $12 or $9 for kids ages 12 and younger.
Those wishing to take a keepsake home can have their photo captured by the Bluesteel Photo Booth for both candid skating shots and photo booth strips. Santa Claus will be available for photos in the photo booth on Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Dec. 7 from noon to 5 p.m., and Dec. 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
