Although Solvang Fine Art opened its doors to the public with a soft opening in October, the gallery will hold an official grand opening reception and ribbon cutting ceremony on Dec. 10, from 4 to 8 p.m. Guests can look forward to enjoying free refreshments during the event, as well as an opportunity to meet some of the galleryās featured artists.
While the gallery showcases a select group of local contemporary artists, including Central Coast locals Laurel Sherrie and Dennis Curry, Solvang Fine Art owner and founder Julie Torchia specializes in authenticating and selling historic prints from artists like Rembrandt, Salvador DalĆ, and Joan Miro.
āWe are excited to be a new member of the Santa Ynez Valley art scene and would like to welcome everyone to come celebrate,ā Torchia said in a press release announcing the galleryās upcoming reception. āThrough the gallery, we want to support local artists and offer the public a chance to acquire rare historic works of art by world-renowned artists.ā
Torchia also expressed her thanks to the Solvang Chamber of Commerce, for helping her organize the ribbon cutting event. Admission to the reception is free. Attendees can RSVP by calling (805) 691-9702 or emailing julie@solvangfineart.com.Ā
