The Santa Maria Valley Youth Football League will be accepting registrations for football and cheer beginning April 3.

Football fees are $200, plus players must sell five cash calendars. A $100 deposit is due at the time of signup. Scholarships won’t be accepted, but payment plans are available. Fees include a jersey, photos, insurance, a trophy, and rental of football equipment. Fees for cheerleaders are $180 and include cheer apparel, insurance, a trophy, and Cheer Camp.

Parents of football players will need to bring copies of the child’s birth certificate and report card, or school ID and two photos of the child. Cheerleaders will need a copy of their birth certificate and a recent report card.

Registration happens in the Westgate Community Room, located at 1300 Marsala Ave./1800 Westgate in Santa Maria, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Other registration dates are May 8 and June 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The season begins August 1.
