If you’ve ever wanted to parachute out of a plane, but never had the guts, it’s time to ready your nerves. Tickets are on sale for the second annual “Fallin’ 4 A Purpose” VIP skydiving event on Oct. 9, sponsored by Roblar Winery and Skydive Santa Barbara.
VIP jumpers will be pampered with private access to their own tents and lounge areas, private airport parking, a breakfast bar, live music, a silent auction, a seated VIP dinner, and admission to the event’s Country Harvest festival, which runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Festivalgoers will be treated to wineries and breweries pouring their favorites, local vendors, Chumash Casino giveaways, barbecues, and lunch specials available for purchase. There will also be a petting zoo, bounce houses, balloons, popcorn, and face painting especially for the kids. Participants must be 21 years or older and show a valid ID to enter the winery/brewery areas and to attend the VIP dinner.
Tickets for VIP jumpers are $500, and include one jump and a dinner guest. “No Jump’n” VIP tickets (the whole experience minus the drop zone adrenalin) are also available at $250 per couple. General admission tickets to the Country Harvest festival will be sold at the gate from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at $25 for adults and $10 for kids. Military, fire, and police guests will receive discounts.
All tickets are tax deductible, and proceeds will go to Primary Pulmonary Hypertension Research, Pennies for Playgrounds, the City of Lompoc’s Department of Parks and Recreation, the University of California Santa Barbara, and the Environmental Affairs Board Program.
Skydive Santa Barbara is at the Lompoc Airport, 170 George Miller Drive. For VIP tickets, and to reserve a jumping time, call Skydive Santa Barbara at 740-9099.
