Branch-like hands reach across fields of light. Silhouetted jellyfish float upward. Tiger-headed women stare at viewers from blue-green forests.

Imagine Wine and Art Gallery in Santa Ynez will feature the artwork of Santa Ynez artist Karina Puente, who’s exhibited her artwork around the country and internationally.

She’s also part of the artistic directing team that composed the look, theme, and message for Vino De Suenos, a wine brand created by Santa Ynez Valley People Helping People and a small group of premium Santa Barbara County vintners to make a difference in the lives of vineyard and farm workers. Puente not only contributed one of the labels but also created the signature logo.

[image-3] [image-4] As a multi-faceted artist, Puente delves into oils, pastels, and installation work, as well as stained glass and sculpture. Basically, she focuses on whatever suits her fancy at the moment.

Puente holds a BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and has shown her work internationally from California, New York, and Washington D.C., to Edinburgh, Scotland.

The July showing at Imagine Wine and Art Gallery, 3563 Numancia St., suite 103, in Santa Ynez, will include both abstract and figurative oils, recycled older works, and figurative pastels. Complimentary wine tasting will be available, and wine will be for sale by the glass. No reservations are necessary.
