A photographic exhibit by Theresa Barns, with the local Santa Ynez Valley landscape group, will be on display in Solvang at Good Life Craft Beer & Wine Cellar, 1672 Mission Drive, in Solvang. The owners are supporting art in the community by supplying space for shows of local art, sponsored by the Artists Guild of the Santa Ynez Valley and their Art Without Borders program.
Most of the images were taken during the peak of seasonal change from fall into winter, and winter into spring—when sunlight strikes at unique low angles, illuminating the landscape and enriching its colors.
The photographs are meant to elicit a memory, or thought, that someone might have felt while passing by these familiar views during the fleeting moments of seasonal change while driving, riding, or hiking through the valley.
