Santa Maria resident and internationally known ceramist Bill Shinn will be featured at the Gallery at the Network in San Luis Obispo from Feb. 1 through March 31.
In 2009 alone, Shinn saw his work appear at the American Museum of Ceramic Art in Pomona, juried a show for the American Ceramic Society, spent two weeks as a workshop instructor in Nicaragua with Potters for Peace, and held a workshop at the Michosin International Summer School of Art in Canada. His list of more than 150 shows includes locations throughout the world. He’s also been featured in Ceramics Monthly, Pottery Making Illustrated, and other publications, and appeared on the TV series Throwing Clay.
An artist’s reception will be held during ART AFTER DARK on Feb. 5 from 6 to 9 p.m.
