Auditions for the Clark Center Search for the Stars Competition will be held from noon to 5 p.m. on March 13 at the Clark Center for the Performing Arts in Arroyo Grande.

Twenty-five acts will be selected to compete in the semi-finals of the competition on April 18. Five local theater and music professionals—including Erik Austin of Kelrik Productions, Pepper Daniels of American General Media, Kevin Harris of SLO Little Theatre, and Jenny Shaheen of Chameleon Productions—will choose 15 finalists to compete for the grand prize. The finals jury will include Loch Powell, an entertainment manager for Leverage Management in L.A., and Erik Stein, the casting director for PCPA Theaterfest in Santa Maria.

The grand prize winner will have an opportunity to perform as the opening act for the Clark Center Association show during the 2010-2011 season and a season subscription. First prize will be $200, and second prize is $100. Prizes will also be awarded for audience choice, best costume, and youngest contestant.

Applications are due March 8. For more information, visit clarkcenter.org.
