The Schoolhouse Music chamber concert series in Los Olivos begins its season with the rumble of three concert grand pianos at St. Mark’s-in-the-Valley Episcopal Church on Feb. 12. The concert welcomes renowned pianists Zeynep Ucbasaran, Miguel Ortega Chavaldas, and Sergio Gallo performing works from Rachmaninoff, Godowsky, Anschutz, and Zampronha composed specifically for a three-piano setup.

Rose Knoles founded the Schoolhouse Music series in 1980, and featured world-class classical performers live at Dunn School. The venue relocated to St. Mark’s in 2009 for the venue’s acoustics, atmosphere, and room.

The concert series continues on Feb. 26 with the Radian String Quartet, an ensemble led by local violinist Mary Beth Woodruff. The series concludes with a concert on April 8 featuring British conductor and organist Michael Bawtree, who will perform works on the church’s Schoenstein pipe organ.

Ticket price for each concert is $25, $10 for students. Season tickets are $65, and $100 for preferred seating. St. Mark’s-in-the-Valley Episcopal Church is located at 2901 Nojoqui Ave., Los Olivos. More information is available at 688-4454 or smitv.org.
