The Santa Ynez Valley Master Chorale, Youth Ensemble, and Orchestra have prepared a holiday program of beauty and magnificence, the Festival of Carols, which will be performed Dec. 19 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 20 at 3 p.m. in Buellton. The event will include the world premiere of a commissioned work, “A Christmas Rose,” with music by the group’s director Chris Bowman and lyrics by Catalina McIsaac.
The concert happens at the Church at the Crossroads in Buellton. Cost is $18, $15 for seniors and youth. More information is available at 350-4241 or syvchorale.org.
