The Santa Ynez Valley Arts Association rents a section of Gallery Los Olivos to feature member artists monthly, and April’s featured artist is painter Suzanne Huska. The exhibit is titled The Magic of Dawn and Dusk, and showcases a series of landscapes that explore the extraordinary quality of light at the beginning and end of each day.
“As time moves on I am captured by the subtle lights of dawn and dusk!” Huska said in a release. “Those moments between realms that render an air of blissful fantasy, a place for Dryades (tree faeries) and elves glowing in the haze, a twilight zone of soft pinks, warm yellow, and fresh, cool lavenders. My landscapes are moving on as I am abducted by those quiet times in an array of foggy shadows, diffused lights, and magical moments!”
Gallery Los Olivos features its members’ work throughout the gallery, with Huska’s work showing in the Guild Room. The gallery is located at 2920 Grand Ave., Los Olivos. More information is available at 688-7338 or rrgomez@hwy246.net.
