The Santa Maria Valley YMCA is offering its annual Family Day in the Park and Healthy Kids Day, together, on Aug. 17 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Waller Park in Santa Maria. Admission to the event is free.
The event will include car show events, games, food, prizes, arts, crafts, vendors, and a Huck Finn Fishin’ event. An entertainment stage will feature Zumba explosion from 11 to 11:30 a.m., live music by Triple Down Theory from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Zoo to You with live animals from 2 to 3 p.m., and El Padrecito’s Performing Arts live from 3 to 3:30 p.m. Jay Turner from Sunny Country will DJ all day.
A free shuttle service courtesy of SMOOTH will be running between Waller and the Kmart parking lot to help avoid congestion at Waller Park. More information is available at 937-8521 or familydayinthepark.org.
