Righetti High School freshman Brandan Pita was at it again at the National Bicycle League’s Grand Nationals, held in Louisville, Ky., Sept 2 to 4.

Competing against top riders from all over the country, Pita won the Cruiser class main event and captured the overall title, placed second in the 14/15 Open class main event, and finished second overall in his 14-year-old Expert class.

The event was Pita’s third trip to the Nationals. His first appearance was in 2009, when he brought home the first place trophy in the 12-year-old Novice class. Pita is currently training to become a Junior Men’s Elite rider and has hopes of making the U.S. Olympic Team for BMX.
