The Santa Maria Public Library announced the lineup of events it has prepared for kids and teens throughout July, and it includes story times, movie screenings, games, and art classes.Ā 

Events for small children include Play, Move, and Learn with Your Toddler, which is for kids ages 1 through 3 years old. It’s held on Thursdays at 11:30 a.m. through July 14. Marvelous Medalists Story Time is for kids ages 3 through 5 years old, happening Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m. through July 13. Signups are required for both events. Drop-In Story Time, which doesn’t require a signup, happens Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. through July 13 for kids ages 3 to 5. Night Light Theater includes a film screening for parents and kids of Finding Nemo on July 19 at 6 p.m., no signup required.

Teen Summer Movie Madness includes a screening of Coach Carter on July 11, Blades of Glory on July 18, and Blind Side on July 25, all at 3 p.m. in the Altrusa Theater.
