The Santa Maria Public Library is currently customizing a Freightliner Sprinter van into its new bookmobile. The van is expected to be ready to offer library services throughout the community before the end of June. Santa Maria Councilwoman Gloria Soto is currently accepting suggestions for areas for the bookmobile to travel to when it’s finished; contact her at gsoto@cityofsantamaria.org.
