The Santa Maria Philharmonic Society’s first concert of 2015 will include the full orchestra performing under the baton of conductor Brian Asher Alhadeff in cahoots with two Allan Hancock College performing arts ensembles on Feb. 28. The Allan Hancock Concert Chorale will be singing a selection of spiritual and gospel numbers by William Grant with accompaniment from the orchestra. The Ballet Folklorico de Allan Hancock will dance while the orchestra performs Huapango by Jose Pablo Moncayo.
The concert is scheduled for Feb. 28 at 7:30 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 605 E. McCoy, Santa Maria. More information is available at 925-0412 or santamariaphilharmonic.org.
