The Santa Maria Philharmonic Society has met the fundraising goals required to reinstate its full concert season. The society announced its upcoming season, which features several orchestral concerts, a pops concert, and community events throughout the 2014-2015 season.

The first concert of the season is Voices of Passion: Music for Strings and Soprano with James Riccardo conducting on Oct. 25 at the First United Methodist Church in Santa Maria. The Yuletide Brass: An Evening of Holiday Favorites concert features a brass ensemble on Dec. 6 at the First United Methodist Church. The Pops Internationale concert includes chorus, dancers, and conductor Brian Asher Alhadeff on Feb. 28 at Grace Baptist Church. The Season Finale: Concerto Competition Winners Concert includes John Farrer conducting on April 18 at Grace Baptist Church.

The annual dinner party event is Oct. 4 at the Santa Maria Country Club. A youth showcase event is Jan. 25 at the St. Louis de Montfort Church. More information is available at 925-0412, info@santamariaphilharmonic.org, or santamariaphilharmonic.org.
