The Santa Maria Public Library expanded its adult coloring program to include longer sessions and meet twice per month, according to a release from the library. The next scheduled programs take place Jan. 10 and Jan. 25 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. both days.

The library invites adults to attend the free program. The coloring activities are meant to relieve stress and provide a creative and artistic outlet for adults. The library offers a wide selection of pictures or postcards to color along with materials like colored pencils, markers, and gel peans.Ā

The program will be held in Shepard Hall at the Santa Maria Public Library, located at 421 S. McClelland St., Santa Maria. Signups are not required, but seating is limited and offered on a first come, first served basis.Ā
