Wendelin Van Draanen (author of the Sammy Keyes mystery series) and Mark Parsons (author of Road Rash) are the keynote speakers at the For the Love of Books fundraiser for the Santa Maria Public Library Foundation.
The event is Feb. 11 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Santa Maria Public Library, where the married couple will present a Valentine-themed message about the power of love, relationship, and music they share through their writing. Books will be available for purchase and autographing.
The lunchtime event is $50 a person and is catered by Rooney’s Irish Pub. There will also be a silent auction with gifts donated by local businesses. The event is open to all ages, and tickets are available for purchase at the Santa Maria Public Library. More info: (805) 925-0994, Ext. 2322.
