The Santa Maria Public Library hosts a screening of the Academy Award-winning drama, Green Book, on Monday, Dec. 16, from 3 to 5:30 p.m. The film follows the true story of an Italian American bouncer who becomes the driver of an African American pianist during a concert tour of the Deep South in 1962.

Admission to the screening is free. Children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult to attend. The library is located at 421 S. McClelland St., Santa Maria. Call (805) 925-0994 for more info.Ā
