The city of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department and the Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce invite the public to the opening of the Remembering Our Fallen exhibit honoring some of California’s men and women in the United States military. The exhibit includes Red Poppies, Home Town Heroes, Flag etiquette, and a Million Thanks drop-off for letters to the troops.
The free exhibit will be open at the Abel Maldonado Community Youth Center, 600 S. McClelland St., from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Dec. 7 through Dec. 12. There will be a Veterans Memorial and Wreath Ceremony on Dec. 7 at 10 a.m. All ages are invited.
